2024 Deep HIARCS 15.3.1 (H15.3)

2022 Deep HIARCS 15.1

1999 HIARCS 7.32

  • HIARCS 7.32 SSDF Rating: Elo 2539 (K6-2 450MHz)
  • HIARCS 7.32 was the first commercial chess program to use Nalimov tablebases in its search

1998 HIARCS 7

  • Released as HIARCS 7 by Applied Computer Concepts.
  • HIARCS 7 SSDF Rating: Elo 2465 (64MB P200 Mhz MMX)
  • HIARCS 7.01 SSDF Rating: Elo 2525 (K6-2 450 MHz)
  • HIARCS 7 led the SSDF rating list

1997 HIARCS 6

  • Released as HIARCS 6 by Applied Computer Concepts.
  • HIARCS 6 tops SSDF rating list: Elo 2423 (49MB P200 MHz MMX)
  • HIARCS 6 was the first PC chess program to defeat a FIDE International Master in a match at tournament time controls. It also lead the SSDF rating list for almost a year and was used extensively by Garry Kasparov and in his preparations for Deep Blue. HIARCS 6 also took the Mac by storm with a native PowerPC version

1996 HIARCS 5

  • Released as HIARCS 5 by Applied Computer Concepts.
  • HIARCS 5 SSDF Rating: Elo 2330 (Pentium 90 MHz)
  • HIARCS 5 led the SSDF Rating list
